Trail mix isn't just for walking the trails anymore. These days, you need a convenient, quick source of power food that will help keep you energized on the go.

The problem with many store-bought trail mixes is that they include simple sugars that spike blood glucose levels - such as dried fruit, m&m's, pretzels, and/or other foods sweetened with added sugar.

low glycemic-trail mixThis recipe focuses on low-glycemic ingredients.
